Continuation of Conditional Use Hearing
The East Stroudsburg Borough Council held a Public Hearing on Monday January 23, 2023, at 6:00 pm. for a Conditional Use Application by TWAS Properties,LLC as outlined below.
The hearing was adjourned and will reconvene at 6:00 pm on February 21, 2023 at 24 Analomink Street, East Stroudsburg. Pa. 18301
The subject of the hearing is a Conditional Use Zoning Application by TWAS Properties, d/b/a Tidal Wave Auto Spa (equitable owner) to develop a full service automobile tunnel carwash at 705 Milford Road, East Stroudsburg Pa. 18301.
The property consists of 5 tracts- Parcel 05-18.104.22.168, Parcel 05-22.214.171.124-1, Parcel 05-126.96.36.199, Parcel 05-188.8.131.52, and Parcel 05-184.108.40.206. with a total area of 1.567ac.It is located in the C-2 Heavy Commercial District. The current property is owned by n/f PENSECO REALTY INC. and is a closed branch of Peoples Security Bank.
The proposed development is the construction of a 3,690 sf. tunnel carwash,26 covered self serve vacuum stalls, 5 parking spaces, one off street truck loading space and associated utilities. A driveway entrance/exit onto Milford Road and an exit only driveway onto PA. Route 447 (Paradise Trail) is also proposed.
The project site is over one acre which according to Section 157-39 Attachment 1-Table of Use Regulations, Basic District Regulations (F) of the Borough Zoning Ordinance classifies the proposal as a Conditional Use.
